Default Would Raptors vs Nets be a war?

it's nice to see such enthusiasm, but I think Bourne is taking this a little too far...

war?

but at least the more level headed Raptor fans (e.g. The Italian, Done and Done, DoubleTech, Qwyjibo, a few others) are treating this as what it is: a very intense playoff series.

No it would just be a very hard fought, intense playoff series. I would absolutely love to see this series happen though. Preferbly not in the first round. I would much rather see the Raps play Washington. It would increase their chances of making it deeper in the playoffs.

The Raps and Nets could meet in the second round if they both win right?

i think such a series would be much more exciting for the raps.

if they won, it would be a case of knocking off the traditional division leader.

but if they lost, they would still feel good about their season and would have a nice future to look forward to.

meanwhile, if the nets won, if would be a case of beating a mildly better team and merely living up to their success in the past.

therefore it's very hard to get excited about the raps (as surprising as they've been this year) as a nets fan.

the raps pretty-much equal boredom at this point.

it means more for the Raptors as they get a shot at Vince Carter

: Raptor fans would rather play a scrubby team who are missing their two best players (: ROFL!) in the first ROUND!

That just goes to show you that they have NO freakin' confidence whatso ever for their team who are like what top 3 in the East?

It's all good. As long as if they advance to the second round to meet the Nets, I am ok with that.

Pathetic.

regardless, we are the last game for the Bulls. they can reach 50 wins by beating the Nets. so its also a psychological factor. plus they have 4 days rest....

the only way they may not put too much stock into it is if Cleveland loses one game so Bulls can clinch 2nd seed

Not nearly as good as when they're at home. That's why I believe the Nets can pull this out.

This is going to be an explosive and volatile series.

I don't know how many of you have ever played in an arena with thousands of people, but a sellout at ACC with everyone chanting crap at you at all times?

it will rattle the Nets especially the rookies and the players unfamiliar with intense playoff battles such as Moore and Nachbar. Kidd will not be able to announce plays clearly. Frank's voice will be drowned out in the din. Nets will need to make plenty of preparations ahead of time and Carter is going to have to seek to destroy the Raptors.

Good way of painting a picture together.

That's playoff basketball for you, it's always intense and emotions run high especially between heated rivals. This is going to be the best series of the east I think...

Did I say that I don't have confidence in the Raps? Didn't think so. I have confidence that they would beat NJ in a series. Playing Washington is pretty much a bye. Which increases their chances of winning a second round seires because they will be fresh.

If you could choose between the Nets and Wizards in the playoffs you would choose the Wiz too.

Whats more pathetic is a Knick fan talking about the playoffs. Your team is a joke so I wouldn't talk sh!t about another team. Raps have won like 16 more games than the Knicks.

Knicks=pathetic.
