Default Trade Posted in Sixers Forum

OK, this trade was sugguested in the Sixers forum. I just want to see if any Knick fans like the deal:

Sixers Trade:
Webber to the Knicks
Korver to Memphis

Memphis Trades:
Eddie Jones to the Sixers
Kyle Lowry to the Knicks
Hakim Warrick to the Knicks

Knicks Trade:
Steve Francis to Memphis
Maurice Taylor to the Sixers

Sixers Receive:
Eddie Jones
Maurice Taylor

Memphis Receives:
Steve Francis
Kyle Korver

New York Receives:
Chris Webber
Hakim Warrick
Kyle Lowry

Webber was a 20-10 player. He would compliment the Knicks guards and would play PF next to Frye. Hakim Warrick and Kyle Lowry are young players that could develop into much more. Especially Lowry because he brings toughness that most of the Knick guards don't have.

You would end up giving up only Francis and Taylor who shouldn't really be in the plans for the future of the Knicks.

I hate Webber with a passion and hes a bad defender wouldnt work well with Curry. BUT Warrick is one of ym favorite players, as a Syracuse fan I know he has potential. Also I've seen Lowry play and I love him even though I hate Nova. Also we get rid of a guard we dont need and Mo. Can you tell me Webbers contract I forget. Though that seems like an awesome trade for the Knicks.

Sixers fans are thirsty to keep A.I. Webber wouldn't fit I think Isiah is looking to get younger. Dump the contracts in Feb when we makin a push for the playoffs. Worse case senario we write them off the books next season.

Actually, trading Webber sets up a deal to trade Iverson. There's no point in clearing cap space if you still have C-Webb. That said, I'd love to keep Iverson.

As for Webber's contract, it is bad, but it's a year shorter than the one Francis has. Webber's contract is basically the deal killer.

webber only has 2 years left, while taylor only has one that really doesnt matter cause well still be over the cap next year, and francis has 3 years left. so webber would come off the books in 2 years, and we would pick up two promising young former big east players. i love this trade for the knicks, but it would never happen.

What about Channing Frye? Why not give it a shot and develop the kid. He seemed pretty good last year.

Wait a minute... We're the knicks! We don't want development and a steady rise to championship contention. We want big trades and continual lottery team action.
