Default Who should the Griz get to play shooting guard?

They are really loaded at the forward position. With
Damon and Lowry at point their main weakness is
the shooting guard position. I think with Gay and
Warick at the 3 position they could let loose of
Miller. He is a bid dud during playoffs anyway.
It is time to unload Eddie J. or Dahntay at the
no. 2 position. Neither one is good enough to start.
I wish they could trade for someone like Ben Gordon.
Iverson has been mentioned but I think he is in
the twilight of his career. Who else could they get?

Grizzlies can't get any player better then Eddie or Miller. Both are still good shooting guards. The position they need to address is the Center. IMO

Cool Shooting Guard

The center position is okay now with Stro, Roberts and Big Jake.
E. Jones is now back up caliber not a starter. Miller is a small forward not
a shooting guard even though he sometimes plays guard but he
always gets burned when he does. I'm guessing they will make a
trade at the 2 spot. Seems like the reason West got Lowry was
that he knows that Lowry is pass first shoot second pg. Meaning he
needs someone at the 2 spot that can shoot and create off the dribble.
Maybe I'm just dreaming but I don't think West is done yet with the
starting lineup. They just signed Terrance Kinsey as a back up shooting
guard which means either Eddie or Dahtay will be history soon.

Exclamation

Getting a banger is the need they should adress most. Gasol can play the 4 or 5 and need a rebounder under there to help Gasol out. Swift should be traded once his recent trade restriction is up. Rumors are that Magloire and Boozer are the guys that they might trade for. Boozer would be excellent if they are willing to give up Mike Miller and Stromile Swift. I agree, Miller is always a dud in the playoffs, but was very good filling the sixth man role, hints why he won the award. Eddie Jones is still a starter and should be kept. He is a good defender and gives veteran leadership. His huge contract will expire after this season as well, which is the main reason to keep him. Swift and throw in could be traded to land Magloire, from what I hear. Roberts is progressing very well and can back up both underneath spots. Warrick is not a small forward, for the columnist who said that. He is a power forward in a small forward's body, due to the way he plays. Jerry West has done an excellent job with this team, ecspecially this off season. He will have some cap room to spend next year if he keeps Eddie Jones. Here is their lineup if they acquire Boozer from Utah. They should also make a pitch to sign Rasual Butler to be their shooter, if they trade Mike Miller.

SF- Gay, Butler
PF- Boozer, Warrick, Cardinal
C- Gasol, Roberts, Tsakalidis
PG- Stoudemire, Lowry
SG- E. Jones, D. Jones

Gasoul doesn't need to see anytime a the 5 spot. He needs to stay at the 4.

True. Gasol plays too soft and doesn't have the stamina or will to play the 5.
If Stro stays he will share the 5 with Big Jake. Personally, I don't think
Stro wants to return and go through the same thing he did before he left
for Houston. I wouldn't be surprised if he is traded very soon.
