Spinks was a good fighter but he lost that fight before he entered the ring.

Tyson was a very skilled HW slugger, but his intimidation aura was a huge advantage for him and after Buster took that away both Tyson and his opponents fought differently.

though really Tyson's decline can be seen even in the Bruno fight before Douglas. His mental state went straight to **** with King and that wifey of his.

Mike tyson retired him. Body shot was a good one and would of put alot down. Spinks only dropped to one knee and i think was more to get his breath back but the punch that come after that wasnt no lil punch, did you see spinks head smash of the floor

Lacy is so overrated...he has absolutely no defense. Guys loves eating punches.

Sugar Ray Robinson, Wilfred Benitez, Pernell Whitaker, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweather Jr. My fav boxers.

I agree with everything -Primetime- has said... and Holyfield wasn't still in his prime in those fights, he was more like a John Stockton at 38. Tyson had no jab, and his best defense was his offense.

My favorite would have to be Gene Fullmer, because I know the guy, he beat Sugar Ray Robinson a couple times and many other great fighters. From what I understand he wasn't pretty about doing it, but got the job done. He's a funny old guy too.. I have a couple of fun personal stories I could share, gotta go to bed though and you guys probably don't even know him. His manager Marv Jenson died about a month or two ago, he was about 90 years old, I think Gene is about 85 now.

Here's the one time he lost to Robinson, and only time Gene was never knocked-out, was voted the greatest left hook ever, Robinson talked about how he watched film and spotted a flaw in Gene's style... he waited and waited, and threw the hardest punch he ever threw.

HAHA seriously?

I thought you had a good head for boxing. Not only is he '' NOT '' retired, he is the world champion.

well there are like 20 damn belts out there for one thing...

and for another I stated earlier than once all the great heavyweights went away (Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis) I lost total interest in boxing...

I can remember watching Briggs long ago and thinking he could be one of the greats one day....then he started losing fights...the fact that he holds a belt today proves my piont about the current lack of talent in boxing...

Boxing used to be awesome, it's turned into a big corrupt pile of uninteresting garbage anymore, thus the reason ultimate fighting has taken over.

There should be one league, one belt, and one champ. Plus, there is no need for a Don King type of guy, and it should be a system that matches boxers based on position in the rankings, number 2 guy fights number 1 etc... and if number one says he doesn't want to fight number 2 then he loses his belt and ranking.
