Default Stern On PTI- Said Crawford May Be Done Forever In The NBA

i know there is a thread on this, but this is wayyy too harsh.. a 31 year veteran ref being treated like dirt.. ridiculous

david stern wouldnt even admit the suspension is too harsh.. the guys on PTI are in shock, as am i.. stern is very stern about suspensions

Certainly too much. Dag, in the space of half an hour, I'm back to disliking Stern. Guy doesn't know when to say when.

It's amazing how someone like Crawford can get suspended right away, but refs like Steve Javie and Viollete Palmer intentionally give games away get away with it.

I dunno why everyone is hating on Crawford anyways. He gave Duncan two Ts for excessive whining and mocking the refs. It's in the rules. He certainly has gone over the top, but Duncan is that one guy that gets away with whining basically since he arrived in the league. He calls a ref "you piece of ****", and does not get suspended?

SAS is saying that he directly asked Stern if Crawford is repeated offender of this issue and Stern said "yes". Stern says hes had this discussion before with Crawford

I hate Violet Palmer. She sucks as a ref, worst ref in the league without question. If you were to take this years 10 worst calls she would be responsible for atleast half.

Joey Crawford is a ********* but he is one of the better refs.

Intentionally? You realize there is a ref committee and review board that grades, evaluates, critiques refs every single game? And that they see more criticism than anything positive???????? Obviously you are absolutely CLUELESS to the amount of stress and pressure nba officials go thru. And they probably have the toughest job of any major sport when it comes to officiating a professional game.

You cant talk out of your ass because you think you can make better judgements from your seat than they do in the heat of the action. They are human just like you...and you dont make the perfect call because you've never in your life been put in a position of such high demand.

He also challenged Tim Duncan to fight...which is what caused stern to react so harshly.

He also said that the next time Joey has another incident the next penalty would be more severe. If this wasnt severe enough than what is more severe?

The other refs dispute that....he said "Do you want to fight?" as in asking Duncan if he wanted to fight because of how he was react. It wasnt a challenge. It was more of a "What? You want to fight me now?"...thats what they are implying when Joey said what he did.

He said/She said...Stern reacted on it. Iceman was right, i didnt think Stern would have punished Joey for he said/she said but he did. Crazy. He said/She said, if you're gonna suspend...do it for a game, at the most 2. Playoffs/NBA finals? Extreme and overboard.
