And Tony Parker is going to show how overrated AI really is.
AI is not overrated, he is a dominating scorer, exactly what he's cracked up to be. But with absolutely no defense to speak of, the Denver Nuggets are gonna get bounced early, win 2 games at most.
i wont make a prediction and i won't diss the Spurs (who are a GREAT team)
as a Nuggets fan im excited. we underachieved before the trade (13-9 playing the NBA's easiest schedule in our first 2 months), and we underachieved after the trade (chemistry issues, suspensions/injuries, etc). but i think we've found our way. we've won 10 of our last 11 games playing the hardest part of our schedule this year. AI has brought the team together, and our defense has made huge strides. and funnily enough, we are the league's most rested playoff team (1 month suspensions and injury time off in midseason will do that to you).
some people will pick Denver to get swept, others will pick Denver to somehow win in 7. i just think we're a much better team than our last couple of playoff squads. say what you want. i think we might surprise people.
spurs in five i think the spurs have proven they can win on the road come play off time which is a huge key,if the spurs hold the first two games at home then all the pressures on Denver which i don't think they will handle!
as for Denver its yet to be proven in the heat of the play-offs if Melo and AI can co exist when the pressure finally gets put on them.
they really need to get one of the first two games or they're done!

I don't think that's an issue. However, I do think that if they're to beat the Spurs, its going to have to be AI that is the main scorer and have to take over. Even though Melo can dominate Bowen one on one, they're going to have to send doubles or more on him in the post and AI will probably get one on one from the perimeter most of the time. And Melo has no problem with that.

Bingo. But the question is not whether the Nuggs can score a lot of points, it's can they keep the Spurs from scoring more?
