Default Sub-Plots in the Playoffs

What are the sub-plots in each of the series???

What makes some of these match-ups extra special because of former players and teams???

The Raptors and Nets have an obvious Sub-Plot: The Vince Carter rivalry

G State vs Mavs: G State won 6 of last 7 in past 2 seasons vs Mavs and Nellie facing his former team

Kirk Hinrich was quoted in the paper saying the Bulls can win in a series vs the Heat.

Wade doesn't think so.

but Wade's shoulder will play a big part in the playoffs and Shaq's age and the injuries to the rest of the Heat will play the role of whether the Heat can ovecome all odds to win again.

Jamison piling 45 PPG on the Cavs and DeShawn shutting down LeBron, as the Cavs watch their hopes fall in a 4-2 series loss.

Tmac finally has a legit team behind him. Will he step up and take his team to the second round?

I think a major part of this playoffs will be how injured/ailing players play or comeback during the playoffs.

The Wizards series could get interesting if Butler came back and Miami needs to have a healthy Wade to make any sort of push.

Also, VC versus the city of Toronto could get dirty. Like Sacramento giving Kobe food poison dirty.

Can a T-Mac team live up to its potential?

Phoenix Suns

In no particular order:

1. James Jones needs to step up and shoot the ball with consistency.

2. It looked like the Kobe and Raja fued was dying down as both of the players were joking around and talking to eachother last game. Will the bad blood pick up again in the playoffs?

3. Will the Suns and Lakers series live up to the rivalry hype?

4. How will Barbosa do in the playoffs? Can he come out and dominate like he did during the regular season?

5. Will Kurt Thomas come through and play the defense that the Suns need and Suns fans think he will bring?

6. Can the Suns run and gun offense actually win a title? To me this is the most intriguing storyline. Nobody really thinks they can win it all with their uptempo and fast break offense.

Caron's out until the second round, no matter what. And even if he could come back, I wouldn't want him to. Without Gil, even if they make it past the Cavs, they wouldn't make it any further. It's pointless to rush guys back from injury when there's no chance for any good to come of it, and a small chance for a lot of bad to come of it.
