To you, soccer10, Vince's two hand dunk was like a full 12 inches inside the free throw line. Therefore, don't be making comments like "this is harder because he jumped from free throw line and did this and that". It wasn't a free throw line dunk. And everyone will tell you that Vince's two hand to end the contest was the weakest of his dunks that night. That was a "safe" dunk because he had the contest locked up, the TV announcers were saying it.
I agree with everything except this one. He was actually trying to make history by becoming the first one dunks from the line with two hands. He was extremely competitive and quite arrogant back then (he still is), he didn't really care much about winning the contest because he knew he could do that easily. Remember the interview straight after he received 48 for that dunk, one could easily see his face drop as if he lost. He actually intended to take off from the line but ended up messing up.
