Cam Newton?!
The man only had one of the best stats his first 3 years in the league, in NFL history. He was injured last year pretty much since the start and got into that nasty car accident.

He's easily one of the 10 best QB's.

115 TD's in 62 games.
14,426 passing yards
2,571 rushing yards
60% Accuracy
86 QB rating
275 total yards per game

Helped his team win back to back division titles while mostly being hurt all year.

Yet you think Palmer and Tannehill are better?

1. Rodgers
2. Brady
3. Luck
4. Big Ben
5. Wilson
6. Brees
7. Manning
8. Romo
9. Rivers
10. Newton

HM: Stafford, Bridgewater, Ryan, Eli & Flacco.

And consider the strength of his offensive line, wide receiver core and offensive coordinator the last 4 years (pretty crap compared to some of the better QBs).

Cam Newton is easily one of the ten best QB's.
He also plays for a very conservative offense that relies heavily on time management; therefore they run the ball a lot more.

Plus besides a 30+ year old Smith, Greg Olsen (who elevated his game playing with Cam) and a rookie Kelvin Benjamin; Cam never had any pro-bowl level WR's. Heck, none of those players playing with Cam even made the pro-bowl except Greg Olsen (one time).

Look at Brady, Manning, Romo, Big Ben etc.
Pretty much all of them have at least 1 pro-bowler either as WR, TE or on the OL. Heck some of them have as much as 3/4. If you include RB's than it becomes even worse.

Fact is, Cam never had the weapons around him on offense that those other elite QB's have had (some of them for the duration of their career).

Just look at Peyton Manning.
Harrison, Wayne, Thomas; and like 4-5 other pro-bowlers.

Cam has had 1 (Greg Olsen) so far. I don't remember if Steve Smith made the pro-bowl 3/4 years ago, probably not. Ryan Kalil and Jordan Gross I believe made it once with Cam Newton.

So it's settled then, Andrew Luck is the most overrated QB in the NFL.

God shut up, you think your opinion is more credible than everyone else on this board.

You're so ****ing obnoxious, welcome to Ignore List.

And no Matt Ryan isn't better. The dude has had better receivers the last 4 years and still couldn't win the division or have a 12 win season like Cam has achieved with a far inferior offensive unit.

Cam's RB's are always injured.
He has had an aging Steve Smith and a rookie Kelvin Benjamin.
He has had a horrible offensive line to work with.
Yet the man still has put up terrific all around numbers for a QB.

Ryan is a good pocket QB for sure but I would like to see how good Cam is with guys like White and Jones on his team.

Carbine is snippy for sure...but you just did the same thing you're complaining about right above his post to Buffalobill's list

I think he will have a prodcutive season.

Romo is also not a top 5 QB, but the Cowboys have the best O-Line in the league by far. Romo will have crazy numbers next year.

Last 4 years:

Ryan - 64 games
18,530 total yards
118 total TDs
57 total INTs
94 QB rating
66% completion
289 YPG
29 team wins in last 4 years (1 division title)

Newton - 62 games
16,997 total yards
115 total TDs
54 total INTs
85 QB rating
60% completion
274 YPG
32 team wins in last 4 years (2 division titles)

On the surface, Ryan has the edge in numbers but consider the team around him.

Ryan had White & Jones to throw the ball too.

Jones - 4330 yards in 49 games
White - 4279 yards in 59 games

Olsen - 3207 yards in 62 games
Smith - 3313 yards in 47 games
KB - 1008 yards in 16 games

You don't have to be a genius to know that having a duo like White & Jones to throw the ball to is a hell of a lot easier than Smith & Olsen or Olsen & Benjamin.

Not to mention, Atlanta relies far more on passing the ball than Carolina does. Carolina controls the game with the run and defense; time of possession is the strategy to getting wins for them.

I think Cam Newton is the better overall QB; when he was primarily a pocket QB (early last season, because of his hip injury) his accuracy was actually 65% and his QB rating was in the 90's.

He was also injured all year last season and had arguably the worst OL in the league.

He simply does not have the weapons that Ryan does and his numbers are still pretty close to Matt's.

That's all Carbine does though.
The only replies I see from him is him disagreeing with someone and he sounds condescending every damn time.

He's annoying.
My reply wasn't nearly as bad; I don't understand how anyone can say Bridgewater and Tannehill are better than Newton.

Carbine doesn't have time to type long replies. He is too busy watching game tape on his cell phone.

I think he's replied to every single one of my opinions about football/baseball with his condescending ass. And it's hardly ever an explanation of the contrary; it's more like " No, he's not." or " You're wrong."

If he took the time to discuss things I'd respect his opinion a lot more.
Heck I don't even mind someone thinking Matt Ryan is better; in my opinion, I think Cam has a better all around game, but it's my opinion.

He needs to learn to respect others opinion. Ryan Vs. Newton is definitely debatable.

Ryan didn't have Julio much two years ago and still produced. Roddy has been a shell of himsel the last couple years. Anyone who watches Atlanta can confirm that.

He has a terrible OLINE. One of the worst defenses in the league. Does he even have a run game? Him not winning recently just means he's not one of those QBS who can mask the deficiencies of the team thru the regular season and get them a winning record. That just means he's not Peyotn Manning, Tom Brady. Nothing wrong with that.

Cam is so damn inconsistent. His accuracy regardless of completion percentage is erratic. He's one of the most talented but ultimately inaccurate throwers in the league.

Cam is a good overall QB. I can't prove Matt is better, but i can make a far better argument for him being ranked higher than I could for Newton.
