Have we ever seen such dominance?
IT'S NUMBER 1 AGAINST NUMBER 2 IN THE WORLD.

6-1, 6-3!

I don't care what old heads say, for me.. Djokovic is the best player i've ever seen!

The most dominant tennis player for me, granted I have only been watching since Sampras Agassi days. Nole got everything, athleticism, killer instinct, warrior attitude, crazy serve, crazier return game

I'll agree with the rest but this is pushing it

i'm not quite sure about this-- but if djokes wins the last masters and then the year-end finale, i *think* it might be the greatest individual year in tennis since the days of laver.

which is going back to the late 60's...... so basically the whole 'open era.'

now isn't THAT impressive?

Do you really think this Djoker is any different than his 2012-2014 self?

2011 Djoker wins IMO

It's not about progression it's about consistency.
He has been the most consistent player in a HUGE level for at least 4 years.

And he will have the best individual season ever if he wins this last two tournaments.

of course it is. just look up the stats. he's ahead of where he was in 2011, with two big tourneys still coming up.

his winning percentage is better, his earnings are already much higher, he's reached finals more consistently, and he's a smoother player than back then.

he doesn't miss easy lobs anymore and doesn't have to go for shots like that ridiculous match-saving return winner against fed in big moments. even stuff that barely matters, like his doubles record, has improved.

...

main thing i don't know is this-- if he continues his dominance, will this season surpass the greatest seasons that previous players have had? like borg, lendl, sampras, connors, fed, etc...?

Why exactly? Nadal hasn't been good enough to do squat in grandslams for over a year and a half now. While Fed is making it to finals against Novak, Nadal was getting pulverised by players ranked outside the top 100. If this were a grandslam, Nadal wouldn't have made the final. You're right, there.

Done and dusted and onto the WTFs where Fed will try to extend his own record of 6 YEC, Novak will try to tie Sampras for 2nd most all time and Rafa will try to win one for once. He's never been able to win a single YEC unfortunately. This might be his last chance. Personally I'm hoping he faces Novak and getting demolished 6-2,6-2 like in their last match-up.

It's not "news".
It was just a disrespectful act by Nadal, which i think it's the fakest "good guy" on tour.

Don't care about neither of them, Djokovic all the way!

(And my boy Joćo Sousa won in another ATP250 in Valencia, currently number 34 in the world)

I imagine it must be hard for Nadal, who should be in his prime, losing to old-man Federer. Especially considering all the success he's had against Roger in the past.
