As the great Chick Hearn always said "This game's in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jell-O's jigglin"!!!

not to be pessimistic, but Lakers played great and still just barely won.
hopefully confidence and swagger is back and that could carry us.

That is the key, get that swagger and confidence back. Y'all are the FREAKIN LAKERS!!! Anybody can beat anybody. Just because the Suns like to run and gun, you guys can beat them. If Kobe has to score 90....so be it. Just take it one game at a time. Good luck Sunday, Lakers fan. I am Timberwolves/Sonics fan.

congrats Lakers fans. That 31-14 deficit in the 1st was scary. Then suddenly, our D clicked. Kwaaame sounds so much like Koooobe.

Another game like that and my NBA playoff experience would be a hell lot heavenly.

Things to note:

1) If Kwame Brown catches the ball, makes a decisive move, and dunks instead of tries to lay it up he can score quit well.

2) We had to play really really well just to win by 6.

3) Kobe has to take the ball to the basket regardless of the type of defense. Even if they totally clog the lane he has to force it inside and try to draw fouls.

4) Defense. Defense. Defense. Explain to me why they couldn't play the way they played most of game 3 every single night? They didn't do anything extraordinary; they swarmed Nash and didn't let guys beat them 1-on-1 off the dribble.

5) Why the FUUUUUUUUUUUCK did PJAX take out Shammond for such a long period of time??? It was clear that Shammond and Smush together really give the Lakers solid D. Whatever the reason Smush seems to play well against Nash in certain situations and Shammond just smothers anyone he guards.

6) Let Amare shoot that mid-range jumper, do not let him penetrate and draw fouls, overall I rather give up two points on his jumper than at the foul line putting our team in the bonus.

7) BRIAN COOK??? WHY BRIAN COOK??? He made 1 goddamn shot! He doesn't play defense at all and he can't rebound the ball if it hit him in the face. If he isn't out there shooting the ball and making 3's on every other possession he is an absolute waste of space on the floor. Gimmie Maurice Evans any day of the week over Brian "The New Smush Parker No Defense Playing Bum" Cook!

8) We can play with these guys: play hard defense, let Kobe and Lamar push it in the paint and kick the ball out or to Kwame/Bynum off the Double in the paint...and we have a chance.

9) NOOOO TURNOVERS!!!

Thank god its not a sweep, every extra game is just beautiful to see.

Actually, what PJax did was have three guards in at the same time to match Phoenix. It was the first time in the series (and ever) that he used that combination, and the combined quickness really did help the Lakers to keep up with the Suns.

Shammond should have gotten player of the game... he really did make a huge difference defensively (and Kobe deserves it most every game anyway, so its Shammond's turn).

We had the highest number of Laker Fans logged in to ISH last night after they won. Something tells me that wont be the case after game 4.

good win fun game, great effort! but lakers are going to need to get more scoring from the role players, kwame had a great game but that can't be counted on everynight,,, kobe lamar and kwame were the only 3 to score anything signifigant... the rest of the guys were fairly bad on that front...

no turiaf, is he injured, ill or just not fitting into the plans at the moment? considering the game was won because of effort it's surprising to see the one guy who can be counted on to give effort didn't play...
