I really disagree. Both of those players are expendable for you guys. Varejao is a nice role player but he's 1-dimensional and is a bit overrated. It's easy to get a lot of rebounds when you don't do anything else. Pavlovic has been a nice surprise to make up for the huge disappointment that is Larry Hughes. But Pavlovic has no ups, I mean none, and every time he matches up with someone with a little athleticism he's toast. Can't get a shot off over anyone. Both Varejao and Pavlovic are solid players but nothing special, and definitely expendible if needed to build a real champion, which the Cavs are not at this point.
I'd say what they really need is a point guard, Bibby would be perfect. Also, I'd end the Larry Hughes experiment. If Kenyon Martin comes back healthy I'd consider seeing if Denver will take Hughes for KMart and JR Smith. KMart's and Hughes's contract will almost cancel each other out and I think both teams would be better after the trade. If Denver needs something to sweeten the deal I'd throw in Varejao for Reggie Evans and I'd think they'd take it. Same type of player but Vajejao's a big better.
That would make the deal Hughes and Varejao for KMart, JR Smith and Evans. I think both teams would be better.
