I've played guitar for almos 3 years now, but I only took lessons for like 6 months. I pretty much just get tabs offline and play em. I'm not great at soloing though. I have an off-brand lespaul type electric, ibanez hollowbody, and an old acoustic that I run through a Marshall half-stack.
I have a fender squier and an epiphone les paul and I have a marshall combo amp. Im pretty good at guitar and i want to join a band soon
I also have a Squire, but I upgraded last summer to a Schecter C-1 Plus (below) and the difference is amamzing. Schecters are the by far the most bang for the buck, she's a $1,110 guitar for $700. I also have an Epiphone acoustic.
I love your avatar by the way, I have that CD, Appetite for Destruction, and the Double Live discs. I love GNR and rock a Guns shirt at least 3 times a week. My favorite band to play is AC/DC, my whole body moves with beat when I play them for some reason. I know probably 20 of their songs and since their so popular, everyone at parties love to hear me play them.
Who is your guys' favorite players? Mine are Randy Rhoads(obviously), Dimebag Darrell, Slash, Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, and Jimi.
I have an electric and acoustic guitars. I rarely play though. I need lessons... I know a few songs though.
And Guns N' Roses is one of my favorite bands.
Who is that in your avatar?
I would reccomend online lessons by Dan Denley. It's like $130 I think but it's all physical and comes in the mail as opposed to PDF downloads which I personally hate. $130 sounds like a lot but I was paying $30 a pop for private lessons so ordering lessons made sense for me at least.
Anyone here ever heard of Buckethead or Michael Angelo Batio.
Batio is crazy, his twin neck tapping thing he does is amazing. But like Yngwie, I just don't feel any passion when he plays. He is great technically, but I would rather listen to Slash play with soul and feeling then Batio shred up and down the fretboard.
Buckethead is a freak, he refuses to take his bucket off even when Ozzy offered him the role as his guitar player. He's also played with Axl in the new "Guns N' Roses", he can play with the best of them no doubt. I've seen him rip up a bass as well too, he's jsut a talented musician overall.
