I hated Nene when the season started, he was just an overweight, overpaid, oft-injured PF. As the season went on though he lost weight and got his athleticism back and became my 2nd favorite player on the Nuggets. Number 1?

He flat out sucks. Sure he can score in streaks and jump high but that doesn't make up for his uninspired defense, horrible decision making, and atrocious shot selection. Watching him in the playoffs made me want to punch my TV, thank goodness Karl wised up and benched him.

Sure thats all true, but do you agree that he has the potential to be a very good player? Lots of young guys come into the NBA with the same problems.

Granted, that has no bearing on what he's like as a player right now, but do you have absolutely no hope for this guy? Or do you agree with me that he has the attributes of a very good player if he could just work on his D and shot selection?

He definitely has the tools and athleticism to become a star swingman. His hops are amazing, even by NBA standards. He could become a much better player just by understanding what a good shot is and when to take it, he seems to eager to jack up a 3 with 18 seconds left on the shot clock.

He certainly has the potential and with some work he won't be so hated by me (like he cares). Who knows, maybe he'll come back from his accident with a new determination and prove me completely wrong.
