to be "equal" with EA Sports and NBA Live?? you gotta be kidding me.. NBA2K is the best simulation basketball game out there.. hands down.. the few that disagree do not know how to play simulation basketball and can only play arcade style unrealistic games like NBA live
i agree that 2k renders live obsolete. but they seriously need to make some improvements. this is supposed to be next gen. instead of just adding better graphics and animations they need to add in-depth features and new tendencies. teams don't play like themeselves in the game, the trade AI is retarded, the free agent process is useless. team chemistry system is worthless, and the "signature style" is really much nothing more than the bigger-name players having their own shooting manipulations.
new attributes that should be added:
shot selection
help defense
man defense
first step
streakiness
confidence
court vision
all these aspects of the game are missing and keep it from being a true simulation.
SICK. . . i was pissed when people were saying those were Live pics, glad they were wrong. . Too bad Bron is on the cover though, they made him way too good in 2k7 i think and now he will be even better since they gave him the cover. .
another problem is whenver you have an open big man under the hoop and you pass him the ball he will curl out to the free throw line or something when he was wide open for a dunk. i always hate that. . .

i played both nba live wasnt as bad as peopl.e say it to be. and in all reality 2k5 <nba live 05 2 years of them making a good basketball sim does not make all 2k series the ultimate Basketball game. Also if you play the NBA live Season you can actualy trade using salarie cap and its realistic to form a good team.

Some aspects of Live are good, but the game play is too unrealistic. In live 06 if you were a scorer you can literally scorer when ever you want no matter what the defense is doing. Live 07 I haven't played too much of but it has a lot of the same problems and glitches 06 had. Another example is when you go for a rebound or dunks people fly like 4 feet in the air(people like Yao Ming). The game is mostly arcade 2k is the best game available for simulation basketball.
