Is Sabonis touted to be a star at the NBA level?

First rounder for sure, but not a star. He's way too developed for just turned 20 sophomore PF/C which makes him instant contributor at NBA level but leaves less room for improvement. His ceiling is not high but there is like 0% percent chance of him busting completely. He will be rotational player at the very least and decent starter at best in most of the scouts scenarios. Poeltl is projected as a star but Sabonis handled him like a child.

Grayson seems like a player who is a good enough athlete in college to cover some of his skill deficits in college but not good enough to do the same in the NBA.

Poeltl seems like the type of big who has bust written all over him. I could easily see Sabonis having a David Lee type of career and having a much higher ceiling than Poeltl. Sabonis is already a great rebounder which almost always translates to the NBA and he has the type of aggressiveness that you want in a big. His shot is pretty solid too and I could see him being a great 5 on a team that likes to play small.

There is always one guy every year in the tournament that everyone ends up knowing about because he plays well for a Cinderella team.1

Thomas Walkup is that guy this year.

it was a pleasure witnessing Buddy Hield come thru in person. The crowd erupted every-time he hit a shot... and he hit a ton down the stretch.... what an unbelievable player. PLAYER OF THE YEAR!
