Default Did the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight live up to the hype?

It was over hyped in my opinion. They really didn't do much in the ring. I would have given it to Mayweather as well. This fight definitely did not save boxing. There were some comments about how Mixed Martial Arts does not measure up to what those two did in the ring. Max Kellerman said the contrary admitting that they have an up and coming sport and its popularity is growing. To sum it up, I wish that it would have been a more active and aggressive effort by both boxers and I'm glad I didn't pay 50 bucks to watch this PPV. Cotto vs Judah next. Will it be a let down as well? We'll see.

Its hard to live up to that much hype but i thought it was a great fight to watch personally. Oscar put on a show in the beginning and Floyd put on a clinic at the end.

Nope it didnt! DLH lived up to what he was suppose to do but I am utterly dissappointed by the effort of Mayweather. He never really let go of the st8 combinations which he should have that would have made the fight interesting. DLH pressed the action and threw more punches. It could have gone both ways but I would have given the edge to DLH. DLH landed and threw more shots but Mayweather was more efficient and accurate.

Y didnt he throw the st8 combo's ugghhh thank goodness I didnt pay for this fight!

Cotto and Judah will way more exciting but not many people are going to care

No I think Floyd threw more punches and landed cleaners shot but i think a KO woulda saved boxing but PBF is too damn slick to get caught.

Was a nice close fight i think. DLH did make the fight more fun to watch and he seemed to be the one the crowed responded to, i would like to see a rematch personally.

Tired now so when the emotion is over and had some sleep i will post more on the matter.
