Tobey Maguire Signs On To Do 4 More Spidey Movies?
I was at the theater about to watch the movie and the guy who worked there told me that he knows people at columbia pictures(because he is head supervisor at the theater and he hears things)they make spiderman, and he said Tobey signed a 4 year deal to do 4 more movies, so this aint over. He said this is no joke, and they have not realesed it to the press yet though.

Very Very doubtful, like this guy has some kind of secret source or something.
Sounds to me like someone misheard "Tobey signed to do a fourth movie", and instead heard "Tobey signed to do four more movies"

This would be suicide for the studios. They would be paying around $20-25 million (WTF?!) to an actor who really isn't even that good. I know what you heard is only rumor, but four Spiderman movies in four years in impossible. With all the graphics, effects, costumes, filming, editing, etc. for four films in such a small amount of time is insane unless they're willing to spend $1.5 billion or more in four years.
Four more movies would kill and bury Spiderman, after lukewarm reviews of the third, I doubt the public wants four more of these.

Not 4 in 4 years, 4 more for tobey but it wont be back to back. It wil be over time, so spidey movies would be coming out till 2020 or so. Soon a press article will be released and when it is, I will show you all.

I guarantee they will not make 4 more, that'd be 7 Spiderman movies which is ridiculous. The budgets for these movies are insane, the studios would end up losing money.

I will give you deserving praise if it is true, it's not you that I don't believe but the actual rumor. James Bond is the only franchise I can think of with 7 or more movies. Maybe Star Trek but I've never seen any of them.

Well Cool... Looks like it's possible.. Though since we don't know all the details it's hard to say for sure. I guess it could sorta be like a record contract where the artist is signed for 4 albums or something... That's just crazy though... Are there even 7 Rocky movies?
Sony Pictures chief executive Michael Lynton told the BBC: "Everybody has every intention of making a fourth, a fifth and a sixth and on and on."
There would be "as many as we can make good stories for", he pledged.
Intentions are different than done deals... Lots of wiggle room..

There is so many more spiderman movies they can make, and the more they make the more money they get. So this is all a positive for sony.

i love spiderman and all the marvel flicks. x-men are the all time best series. one thing though, I hate fake CGI human faces such as the superman character and even sandman from spiderman 3. it is so fake and you can tell. that was one thing i didn't like about the movie.

Tobey has not signed his contract yet. I'm sure he will in time, as Sony will be willing to pay him way more than he's worth. It just hasn't happened yet, regardless of what some nerdy popcorn vendor has to say.
