Default What should the blazers do with their 4 2nd round draft picks?

In the 2nd round the Blazers have the 37th, 42nd,52nd and 53rd picks. Who should they draft? Or what are they worth(if anything)?

I don't think Big Baby is projected to fall that far in the draft.

When you have a bunch of draft picks like that, you can throw them in any trade that they may be working on. I'm fairly confident that Portland won't actually use all of the picks for themselves. Lots of wildcards in the 2nd round. There is always some very good talent there who shine later on in the NBA. Portland needs to do their homework and hope they get a little lucky.

wow. i haven't followed the draft much, since we all know Oden goes #1 and Durant goes #2. I don't think Big Baby is going to be that good of a player in the league. He has gotten himself in much better shape though...ive seen watch about 15 times, but he looks like a guard who is stuck in a big body.

Hopefully they did some serious scouting over the last year and have some players in mind for picks 52 and 53.

If any of the swingmen projected to go in the bottom third of the first (Derrick Byars, Morris Almond, Alando Tucker, Aaron Afflalo, Marcus Williams) fall out the first unless the Blazers truly believe they can grab him without making a move they should try trading #42 and #52 to move up.

If they can't trade it they should still be in position to grab Glenn Davis or Sean Williams with #37 (yes I know the Blazers say they don't want anymore problem kids but he's a second round pick meaning he isn't guaranteed).

4 picks is overkill...package two in a move up. Since they arent guranteed maybe there are teams in the first round who wouldnt mind doing a deal with you. Someone might not wanna pay top dollar and wants to move down?

Say Phx wins the draft...maybe drafting 2 slots down with Portland saves dollars? Does it?

If they keep all 4 picks they cant walk away without landing 2 quality players. Scouting department better get on thier grind.

Sean Williams in Portland...thats just gonna get slammed by sportsmedia there. I can imagine Jay Bilas after that pick is announced.

I would go for Brandon Rush, ReyShawn Terry, Nick Fazekas and maybe Glen Davis.

Yeah I was thinking that but figured with a second round pick why not roll the dice?!? Williams clearly has NBA ability but ABA mentality. See if a change of enviroment with pressure to be employed can change that.

Give him a $600k contract for one year with a team option for a second. He shows his ass at any time during his rookie year he's gone.

No warnings, no nothing. Treat him like he's on a full count with two outs with his team down a run in the bottom of the ninth. Screw it up and game is over.
