could it be that Arizona is just plain stupid when it comes to managing a team???
my guess is that we out bid them and they wanted Levi Brown
Problem is (as mentioned in a post before mine) he is a OG being asked to play OT. And he is flat out too huge in size (weight that is) to be blocking pass rushers and didnt do a great job opening up holes either. I for the life of me have no clue why teams feel he belongs on the outside. He's played at OG and both tackle spots in his career. As long as he is on the RT he shouldnt be that bad. But I just didnt like that pickup. Way too much money for him. Dallas has some skill players that are good...the RB duo is a good one, the WR's we know about and they have a good TE. The key is that OL. It starts there...there are other minor issues with each skill position including the QB but the major area of concern is the OL. Will it protect? Will it run block? If it does both equally well Dallas offense should excel.
And I like the rookie over Greg Ellis myself. Not a fan of Greg in the 3-4 at all. Hamlin was a solid pickup to sure up the Safety part because he can ballhawk...Roy? No comment. But Newman has emerged into a bigtime CB, goes unnoticed but he's earning his billing when he was drafted. The other CB spot? Eh, thats where teams will pick on. So you hope Demarcus Ware aka the next LT as some claim him to be can apply much needed pressure on Henrys side for help.
I think the Dallas D can improve upon last year...i think they were a bit overrated from a sense of giving up big plays. But with the additions of Hamlin and assuming that rookie brings something to the table and another year under the belt of everyone...the D should play/be better.
But again the focus should be on Dallas OL and Tony Romo after teams have seen him, have film on him...what will he bring. 2 things I'm interested in for sure.
