Default Spencer Hawes or Mike Conley

Both Center and Point Guard are areas of concern for the Hawks.

If the Hawks ended up in a situation where they could choose either Hawes or Conley which way would you prefer they go?

The Bulls are eyeing Spencer Hawes and might get him with the New York Knicks so I say the Hawks should get Conley, but if Conley is gone then I say get Spencer.

They need a point guard more then anything. They already have Zaza at Center. They NEED a decent point guard, every one of the ones they've signed in the last couple of years have been complete busts. Time to take a chance on a draft prospect, instead of players who were once good.

I've been looking at mock drafts and they have the Hawks having the number 11 pick and the Kings picking number 10 and the Kings might want Mike Bibby and pick Mike Conley Jr. to start rebuilding in Sacramento so I say the Hawks should get Spencer.

ZaZa is straight but he's too soft and he flops alot.

That Hawk GM better get Mike Conley.. They've missed out CP3, Deron, and Monta Ellis, on the 05 draft. Last year, they missed out on Sergio Rodriguez, Jordan Farmar, and Marcus Williams. 03, they missed out because of the JJ trade. 02 draft, the PGs weren't that exciting. These guys are gonna be better than their current point guards. If they f**k this up, they're a bunch of idiot!!! Did anyone watch Mike during the March Madness? So what if they don't get a center. True point guards are more rare. With a leaper like Josh Smith, I can see the alleys all night long from Mike. This Joe Johnson at point guard experiment is not working out. He'd be served as a 25-point scorer that likes to share the ball with teammates, a la D-Wade & King James.

Difference between him and the Spurs Centers? Most teams have a soft center now.

They really do need a Point Guard that can play. That would be their first priority, I think.

I agree that we desperately need upgrades at both postitions... However, we already have a nucleous of young players and honestly, no matter how much I would love to have Oden or Conley (if we're lucky), let's face it - we need veterans to make that final brushstroke and round up a contending team! Conclusion: we got money and we need to spend it on veteran FA's this summer (PG - Billups, C - ???) or even make a trade to make things work!

We need Conely, he has a lot more talent than Hawes. Hawes probably wouldnt even start right away. We have Zaza who is very solid.

I was reading that Spencer Hawes could pull his name out the draft and go back to school. I think the Hawks should get Al Horford if he's available and Mike Conley Jr.

I think we take both. We could draft Hortford at #3 who has been rated higher on the mocks ands then trade up for Conely. Its risky but I think it could definetly happen.
