You don't get respect because.....

1. Your inside game sucks, although I must say Nenad Krstic is coming along well. You guys need to develop a solid rotation inside. Josh Boone is a good start, he could develop into a Dale Davis or a lesser Ben Wallace for you. New Jersey just needs to get a solid rotation of veterans inside. You guys will become title contenders in the future though, definitely. This is how I see your lineup 3-4 years from now:

C Josh Boone
PF Nenad Krstic
SF Richard Jefferson
SG Antoine Wright
PG Marcus Williams

Guess I could only think of 1.

You guys will be monsters and could dominate the east for years to come.

we'll get respect when they acquire a legitimate 4. the rest of the team is improved and an extra shooter (eddie house?) would add some needed depth. the development of kristic plus the big 3 places them a power forward away from being the best in the east -- even with shaq and d-wade.

nah even if Tim Duncan came to the Nets for free, people would still hate the Nets bceause:

1) The Nets have become an All Star Team
2) Vince Carter sucks.

etc...

That's what I was thinking - when they move to brooklyn. I wouldn't be surprised to see all the New Yorkers (and trendy fans across the country) jump on the Brooklyn Nets bandwagon just like they do back flips for the Yankees over there. It wouldn't hurt to win a buncha games either.
