Another Bobcats executive resigns

Another high-ranking Charlotte Bobcats executive has left the organization.

Tim Hinchey, executive vice president of business development, is no longer with the franchise, team spokesman B.J. Evans confirmed. Evans said he was not privy to the circumstances of Hinchey's departure.

Hinchey was with the Bobcats for just over a year and was responsible for major sales efforts, such as renting premium seating and marketing naming rights on the uptown arena.

The Bobcats still do not have a naming-rights deal two years into the building's existence.

They have had significant turnover in business operation over the past year. Team President Ed Tapscott resigned last spring and key executives Peter Smul and Chris Weiller both lost their jobs.
