Sweet Child 'O Mine - best ever
Mother, Another Brick in the Wall pt II, and Time - Pink Floyd
Am I Evil - Metallica (yeah, I know it's really by Diamond Head)
Blackened - Metallica
Stairway to Heaven solo is overrated, IMO.

Comfortably Numb (Live at the Pulse tour)
Greatest solo ever by the greatest guitar player ever, 4 minutes in front of an absolutely huge crowd playing absolutely flawlessly. He practically makes the guitar sing. It's an amazing live performace thats on youtube somewhere, gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.

Burning of the midnight lamp By Jimi Hendrix
Wow. Just Wow.

Steve Vai for anything immensely complex

Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits

Time and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Purple Rain and the little heard b-side Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad by Prince

Tom Morello and he uses a variety of effects but wha is the most prevalent. He can make the noise of a bird chirping.

Morello is out of this world. He's used a wrench to get scratching noises and on "Sleep Now in the Fire" (I believe), you can hear people talking at the end of the song. Turns out it was a Korean radio station he somehow picked up while messing with his amp's feedback or some crazy sh*t like that.

It's always interesting to hear how guitarist get some of the sounds they create.

Dimebag Darrell in anything he plays. His pinch harmonics and bar dives are heavenly.
