It's too early to tell. We need to do case studies on all these cases and see how they feel in adulthood and if they have regrets or feel mislead and abused. It's really grey area and tough to call.

If they really do feel so strongly about it better at a young age and before puberty since it will make their transition easier. But doing it too early on a kid's whim can be devastating.

My thoughts exactly...

It's one thing to accept the change, its another to actively encourage it.

Kids at age 6 don't know what gay is. They don't know who they're attracted to.

Is it legal to brainwash your kid into being a neo-nazi? Because that's the first thing that came to my mind when I read this article... you are pushing the kid into one direction at a young age. By the time they are a teenager, the message is so ingrained in their behavior there's no reversing it.

There was a kid in my elementary that was CLEARLY gay at birth. As soon as we knew what gay was, we knew he was gay. He was flamboyant as fck right out of the womb .

I'm thinking the # of boys that INSIST on wearing dresses to school who end up straight is close to ZERO. I'm sure there are plenty of straight males that fcked around with their moms clothes or make up a couple times when they were little, but that is not what this is, at all. He identifies as female because he was born that way.

In fact, I'm sure if we saw video footage of this little kid talking, and his mannerisms it would be clear as day this little boy was born gay. It's probably obvious as hell to his parents too, which is why they don't care to fight his wishes.

Same. Everyone knew he was gay before we all knew what that really meant. He used to play hopscotch with the girls when the boys played ball. Lo and behold, I see him on facebook many years later and he has a boyfriend and a shitzu.

But I think that you should be at least 18/legally an adult before any sort of procedures are done on you, then after that- do whatever makes you happy.
