Who are you talking about here? If you mean Gibson, he doesn't start, and may not even play big minutes. If you're talking about Sasha, he's not a rookie. He's been in the league for at least 4 years that I remember. The Cavs aren't even his first team. He used to play for the Jazz, IIRC.

You have to be kidding if you are aying that Maxiel and Lindsay Hunter are better than Varejao. Hunter better than Larry Hughes? Come on man. I cant understand the hate for the Cavs on these boards. Regardless of how they got here, the Cavs are in the conference finals. Lebron can get these Cavs over the hump. Will he though.......?

LH prolly has a better skill set, but if you look carefully I said in terms of playoff basketball i.e. shooting, defense, decision making. Hughes sucks at all the aforementioned compared Hunter.

Max over Varaejo is debateable.

Understood, but what has Max done period? Hunter is battle tested, and I would give him experience points over Hughes. I actually wish the Cavs had a player like Hunter on the squad. As a Cavs fan, I have hope. I think the Pistons are in their heads though. I do think that Lebron has to take control from start to finish though. He cannot take the time to get everyone involved before he gets his. Hughes is a wreck now, and Sahsa is faltering too.

I would have never even thought about Max vs Varaejo before the playoffs started, but Max is doing the same thing this year in limited action that Varaejo did last year in the Pistons series to make a name for himself; bring energy, rebound, block shots, and score some buckets.

I'm liking the Cavs position in this series. Most people are picking the Pistons in 5. There is absolutely no pressure on the Cavs.

If they win, it would be one of the great upsets in playoff history, perhaps (even though it is a 1 v. 2).

If they lose... They were supposed to.

I'll take the role of underdog any day of the week and twice on Sunday over being the favorite.

Plenty of pressure on the Cavs. Last year the excuse was happy to be there. LeBron better show up. Watch him lay a couple eggs and be a non-factor in 2-3 games and the pressure will be ten fold. Pressure on Brown to be competitive, the franchise to keep LeBron.

I think there's enough pressure to go around.

think the only way Cavs could win the next round is to give Pistons a dose of their own medicine - choking defense. Meaning, physical defense.

How they are going to do that is another story. But i think the Cavs leadership has already devised a plan on how to solve the Detroit enigma.

LBJ & Co. should prepare not only for a battle but for the entire war. Definitely, Pistons would not let their guards off. But i'm still optimistic with the way the Cavs are playing, Pistons would be gaping in horror what kind of bomb would drop on them.

Go blast 'em Cavs!

I don't think so. I think the Cavs have already gotten as far as anyone expected. They have already improved on last year's run. They are in the 'final four'.

You better watch yourself with your LeBron predictions. When he is attacking the hoop, he is about as unstoppable a player as there is in the NBA. To indicate that Tay is even close to Bron's level... he isn't. Tay is a great role player... LeBron is capable of taking over a game and putting the team on his back (like he did in the last game against the Nets).

The Pistons have looked great in the playoffs. I said after they did away with Chicago that they were playing the best basketball in the NBA right now. I actually expect them to win a championship. Anything less would be a failure, imo.

The Cavs simply don't have that pressure. LeBron with nothing to lose? Could be scary...

There is not a single person who didn't expect them to be in the ECF. They have not surpassed last year. They beat the Wiz with Gilbo last year, this year they haven't proven ****.

The Cavs will be lucky to win 2 games, wouldn't be surprised if this series ends in 5.

The point is, Detroit is expected to ATLEAST make the Finals. The Cavs aren't.

The favorite will always have more pressure on it than the underdog. This shouldn't even be debatable.

I could see if this was LeBron's 'last shot', but his career is just beginning. There is absolutely no pressure on the Cavs and it is clear from the predictions coming from everyone... including myself.
