How can you say that?

Maybe on paper they do, but games aren't played on paper.

I think the Hornets will grab the number 7 seed

Don't forget the fact that West is coming off of a huge year, and now he is getting some more offensive help. This lineup has a lot of potential for the future, and hopefully B. Scott can bring it all together. One area of concern may be the bench but Bobby Jax is a pretty good sixth man. This lineup also benefits from the fact that no one is selfish. Which will go along away in helping them gel quicker. I'm also counting on Chris Paul improving on what he did last year by making this assumption.
playoffs are probably a stretch, but they have an awesome young nucleous, assuming their picks turn out, and chandler can take that next step. There's a reason chicago basically gave away this kid, for upcoming cap space next year, and that's cause he's way to inconsistent.

Hornets are in the playoffs. Chris Paul and David West and Nothing Else was god damn close to the playoffs, and they added, 2 really solid rookies, a perennial 6moy candidate, and the best shooter in the game, tell me, how the heck can't they? Chris Paul can make stars out of average players... and he's just been given players who are stars to begin with, and also a really good bench.

The Bees (I hate that!) have made good additions but the West is stacked! Don't see any playoff teams (other than the Kings, maybe) moving out of the playoffs. Houston should be better with a healthy T Mac. I live in LousyAna so I want the Hornets to do well. Better games to watch on TV. Lived in H Town for 20+ years so I follow them as well. Want both teams in the playoff run.

I don't care too much for their offseason moves besides the draft. But with a player like Paul who knows what kind of impact he can have on different teammates and with a year under his belt. I'm curious to see what happens to the Hornets

Chandler isn't much better than PJ (if at all), but I hope the Hornets make the playoffs. I like watching Chris Paul.

lakers will win 50+ games if they avoid any injuries

Umm no..Peja has no heart. Peja and Chandler do not guarantee a playoff spot. Chandler pretty much sucks and Peja is a known choker.

Geez, when was last time we used "hornets" and "playoffs" in the same sentence.....

you know what two words go together better? "hornets" and "lottery"....that's better....

i think that they have the ability to make the playoffs but i wouldnt guarantee them a spot because how tough it is out here in the west. especially if the opposing team were to stop cp3 the rest of the team would fall apart. i mean did you see the game against the clippers where they literally stopped the hornets from scoring in the second half because of stopping cp3. once you stop cp3 its over cuz peja cant create his own shots, hes spot up

03/04 season. Not so long ago.

Oh and they're not gonna make the playoffs in the West this year. Yeah Yeah they were close last year, but I don't think they're much better than the Bulls of last year talent wise. And the guys they were close are gonna be better. The Lakers seemed to have found an identity towards the end of the year and in the playoffs and Kwame seems to be a solid C for them and they have Radman to hit the 3 and may get Harrington. And the Kings are just flatout better than the Hornets. Houston is better too.

Just like I said about the GS Warriors last season, they aren't making the playoffs. They're on the radar this season, and the Hornets aren't sneaking past anybody.
