The post-Finals Jazz fan base might not be too familiar with Edwards, but old-school fans still remember the incredible athleticism of the East Carolina University product who represented the franchise at the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
Favors participated in a full practice Thursday and may be able to return to the court Friday night when the Jazz face the Los Angeles Lakers in their 2016-17 home opener.
Yeah! Should beat the Lakers with or without him though.
"We'll see how it feels (Friday)," he said. "... I wouldn't say I'm at a hundred percent now, but I think I'm at a point now where I can tolerate it and kinda play through it without it aggravating me too much.
Doesn't sound like he's playing to me. They won't risk aggravating it against the Lakers will they?
There is no doubt that Rudy is going to get big time money. I think his lack of offensive production allows the Jazz Brass to negotiate with him to some extent, but after seeing the other numbers there is no doubt that he is due a ginormous raise.
got to give him the full max to keep him for 5 years. He's still the man. Lose him and who cares who is left on the team.
Now before anyone starts to panic, citing all the times we here at Purple and Blues lauded the Jazzís depth for the upcoming season, itís important to remember that Johnson (who was the teamís leading scorer on Tuesday) and Boris Diaw will both typically be coming off the bench rather than starting. This alone will shore up Utahís second unit significantly.
assuming Boris doesn't suck like he did in this one. Quit blaming the bench. Some of that goes to the coach for not playing other guys.
while I was a huge supporter of Shelvin Mack in the preseason, he definitely struggled as the first guard off the bench in the season opener.
I thought he looked good. He plays with juice as Snyder loves to say.
You must be excited that going into space and maybe even living on Mars seems like a realistic possibility in your lifetime at this point. Boris Diaw: For sure. Iím not kidding when I say it. I want to go to space. I would try to do it if itís possible and I think it will be in my lifetime. Mars, I donít know if thatís going to be possible. Theyíre probably going to send some professional astronauts there first. I heard it might be a one way mission. Ė via GQ.com
If it is, would you consider living on Mars? Boris Diaw: Definitely. I would do the one way trip. 100 percent. If they were looking for candidates, I would definitely apply for it. Just even going to space for a few days and then coming back down would be cool. I think thatís something thatís already possible for civilians, itís just very, very expensive but maybe the price might go down. Ė via GQ.com

Qs Quote: "The Lakers high octane offense was just better than the Rockets high octane offense. This game, however, will involve defense as Utah actually plays both sides of the ball. Interested to see if Luke Walton can keep the Lakers rolling during their first road trip, in a tough environment. On the flip side, Utah may get Favors back and that is a huge addition for a team with aspirations of sneaking into the Top 4. Quin Snyder made some questionable substitutions during Utah's debut game, and it'll be interesting to see if that continues."
That means Johnson not only needs to knock down shots, but he also needs to stay active offensively. He proved he could do that in the opening night loss to the Trail Blazers with 29 points on 12 for 16 shooting from the floor.
While the Jazz don't need him to put up those kind of numbers every night, he definitely needs to be a major scoring threat in the absence of Gordon Hayward.
They have other guys especially with Favors back. Don't think he has to be a major threat every night.
