I would honestly do it if there was a way I could film it. I only have one video camera so you'd either just see me jumping out the window or i could set the tripod up on the ground and you'd just see me landing. Either way, everyone would be screaming OMG! Fake! Fraud! because you won't get a good look at it

This reminds me of the Steve Bozelle bit on the Phil Hendrie show where he drops a baby from the roof of his house onto a pile of snow to just to see what would happen.

"No you see, we practiced with a pretend doll first. I took some meat and stuff and filled it up so it would have guts. And only once did its arm break off."

That's probably way off, but whatever.

I've seen it done in person, without much damage, but I would recommend against it. My friend was trying to escape his crazy parents and he jumped straight off the balcony. The highest I've ever dared to try was about 10-12 feet, a running jump down some stairs, onto concrete, nearly did something disastrous to my legs when I clipped the last step with my heel though.

Maybe you should contact a nearby stunt or acrobatics school so you can find out how to do it safely.

Wow... part of this is somewhat funny, but really, most of it is pretty pathetic.

Too much time on your hands GeeWiz.

is typical american teenager SO bored?
jumping off your roof just for sake of it? just to see what will happen?

look at possibilities, just from top of my head:
getting part-time job. reading, studying or learning something that'll actually be useful to you later. just going out and chilling with friends. playing basketball. playing soccer. getting drunk. getting laid. going on a nice trip. even posting on ISH.
all nice activities of various kinds, that don't endanger your life and/or bones.

For some reason I always want to jump off stuff. Like bridges and anything really high. Idk its just like this feeling I get "where I have to jump off it" but you should try it. The thrill is AMAZING.

I wouldn't recommend it on to your lawn.

But I have jumped 60 feet into an extremely deep river and it is quite a rush.

I did it twice and I will never do it again, imagine hitting your head... yikes.

those all take some serious time hours in some cases and require commitment... jumping off the roof will take roughly 3 seconds then he can move onto another activity... like healing
