My main point is that nearly every team has someone talented at the swing positions, but hardly any teams have a talented center. So even if Oden doesn't have the same amount of "tools to be dominant" he has a higher chance of being dominant because there will be hardly any competition for him at the next level. Durant on the other hand will be lining up against all-star level talent (or very close to it) almost every night of his career.

So IMO, "dominant swingman >>All Star Center" is inaccurate when you add in the factor of who each player will be playing against.

the only dominant swingmen is Kobe and maybe Wade. MAybe Wade and Lebron will get there but not yet.

So maybe we have different definitions of dominant.

No I love Durant, he is great as well. I just think it has to go Oden then Durant. Its not a slight to Durant. Earlier I would have said Durant but Odens is too physically gifted and seems to have the ability to add stuff to his game.
