Put him on a team where the top scorer isn't a slasher. You'd be surprised.

^thats the key right there.. He does what Lebron (and Iverson) did. Once Lebron collapses the defense and pitches it out, cavs need another shooter, not another slasher. His shot isnt great so he becomes a liability on the perimeter if his shot isnt on.....

What stars would Hughes be a perfect fit next to? If there is such an animal, why won't the team that he plays for make a nice offer for Hughes?

Larry Hughes is not a shooter he is a slasher. When he is attacking the basket he is at his best. When he is out on the perimeter behind the arc he isnt. Real simple. Blame Luke Jackson for being the sellout he is. Some shooter he was.

How about your Bucks? They're loaded with shooters, Bogut is a good passer in the middle, and they could use a perimeter defender.

Gilbert Arenas. They had a good thing going together in Washington.

Isn't Jamison's contract expiring? Hughes for Jamison would be an interesting deal for both teams.

Hughes was in a contract year. Maybe the two are a fit. I dunno.

Big problem with Hughes is he regressed. Could be personal life affecting his play? Lost that desire, hunger. He got paid...so whats the motivation to get better? He's been injured also. Sounds like excuses but I'm sure some of these things are affecting his overall play besides him just not being a good compliment. Heck if Clev brought him in to be the "shooter" then they fooled only themselves. Hughes needs a wakeup call...trade could work.

Hughes just isn't a good fit for the Cavs, but he is a pretty good player. He is overpaid, but he is still pretty good.
I like that Jamison<>Hughes deal. Hughes is a perfect fit for the Wizards. I think we would be fine in Orlando, NO and Utah as well.

Bulls have a plethora of jump shooters and could use a slasher like Hughes to provide a different threat

they dont need to run alot. It would simply provide another way to attack a defense if they had a guy like hughes who can break down a defense off the dribble...

basically put, smart teams find their one true strength and then build versatility off of that.. teams dont need a bunch of guys who do they same things..

I absolutely loathe Larry Hughes. Whoever it was earlier that said he is a roleplayer who thinks he's a superstar was bang on.

I have been waiting for him to perform for the Cavs in the same way that he was able to step up for the Wizards, but the reality is that he won't. If he's the third best player on any given team, then that's ok. However, if you're relying on him to be the second bananna, then your team is in trouble. He's 28 years old and is not going to get any better. He will never become a consistent jump shooter. He is who he is.

It's up to the Cavs to address other team needs in the offseason so that they don't have to count on Hughes so much.
