We use passer rating in this forum boy

Doesn't matter, he also leads the league in passer rating, his highest since the 2007 season

Well you have to look at multiple things when it comes to Dak

- has the best offensive line in the NBA
- has the best running back in the NBA, they will split the votes because both have been amazing

And Brady has the same amount of passing TDs despite having only played 8 games

Dak leads in QBR and Brady leads in QB rating.

Tom Brady has been the best player on a per game basis but he has a tough argument as the player who accrued the most value for the duration of the season.

Matt Ryan, Dak have all provided elite level QB play for 1/3 of a season more than Brady as it stands now.

Hard for me to support Brady for MVP when this is not close to his best seasons. I'm like NBA when I look at body of work over a career

Dont overlook the anti goodell angle to Bradys MVP vote this season. the media has no love for goodell and I think a lot of them feel like a brady MVP win would be really embarassing for him.

NBA ?

Same offensive line that went with 2-12 with backup QB last season. Records will play into this, if Dak goes 13-1, lock up home-field, sits out the finals two games, he deserves it. Better hope Brady wins out.

i think dak probably has the strongest overall argument for MVP this season, but vegas is placing his odds so damn low I have a hard time seeing it happen for him. dak is at +1200 while elliot is at +200, which makes zero sense to me...

MVP voters lost all credibilty when they did NOT choose Watt 2014, so Brady has a big chance to win the thing.

The "most valuable" player is always going to be a Quarterback because they have by far the largest impact on the outcome of the game.

Best player? Different thing entirely, and it was Watt in 2014.

But without Watt the Texans still would have won 7 or 8 games.

If you replaced Rogers with a league-average Quarterback they'd have won like 5 games instead of 12.

I think you can make the argument that the best player is the one who has the largest gap between their abilities and the #2 at their position.

Tyron Smith is a better player than Alex Smith but because Smith is a Quarterback he alters the game more.

Again, the Patriots would have been 4-0 with Brady. Unless you actually believe they lose 16-0 at home to the Bills with Brady starting....

The argument New England went 3-1 without Brady only HELPS his MVP case, unless you are a complete retard.

Prescott is for sure in the discussion, but not Matt Ryan. An MVP quarterback does not have 5 losses playing in that horrific division.

Ryan won't win MVP, and he won't get as many votes as Brady, regardless of where Brady finishes.

They are going by 2,000 total yards for a team with a top level record. Historically, just about any RB that did that was MVP, and the one's that did not get MVP, were on mediocre teams.

They are obviously basing it on the fact that historically, the season he has by numbers and team win/loss record always = an MVP.

They are choosing to ignore that Prescott probably has more impact on his own team, and that Brady is having a better year individually.

In the past, those RB's that won MVP that way did not have the QB on their own team being more important, or another QB in the league throwing 1 pick all season, while averaging more than 300 yards passing a game.
