Nevermind I just came up with the perfect soluition is if someone higher in the draft picks a player you've already picked they get him and you get nothing. that would force them to pick players in the apropriate range.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

And I've been in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

You are an absolute Jackass! What determines how good a player is? If you think watching the draft is boring then change the chanel to somethinkk else. No on is orduring you to watch the draft. The NBA doesn't make all there money on draft night. They make there money with fines, tickets......... Most people dont even watch the whole draft live, they turn on espn and see who there team picked. You are dreaming and unless you are truly retarted you know in the back of your mind this would never work!!!!!!

That is a better idea then the first one but it would still never work. Teams would pick players that other teams picked just so other teams would have no draft picks. Everyone is trying to make the draft exciting but the truth is.....Nobody cares on draft night. Everone cares about how they play on the court. We do not want to be creating a soap opera. Just leave it the way it is, it is exciting enough.

But who determines if someone "blatantly picked a good player with 60?" That's arbitrary and literally the stupidest idea I've ever heard someone seriously put forth.

Thats not a bad idea

The key to the draft is picking a player from the people that are left. The excitement is in predicting whose going to get taken next after seeing whose already been taken. If the draft was backwards then you could not do that. Also, information gets leaked out so fast that before the draft even occurs, the public will know who got taken where. I personally enjoy watching the draft.

Demons2005 does have one good point, though. I'm sure he could dominate any second-rounder. I gotta tell you, I can't even count how many times since 2002 that I've wished that Dee Brown and James Augustine had picked different schools. Take those two out of the Illinois lineup, and who only knows what could've happened. I mean, back-to-back outright Big Ten titles, an NCAA national title game appearance, a four-year record of 114-25....

Illinois could've accomplished all of that if Demons2005 had replaced either one of them in the Illini lineup.
