TEAM GAME from a wins/loses stand point. Not from an individual stand point.

You can be an elite QB and still lose more games than you win (Drew Brees last five years for example)

I think the best stat here is his PFF Grade: It's the one stat that bases play on the best possible thing - tape.

5 of the last 6 years he has been top 6.

If a QB throws a pass that should have been a pick, but ends up not a pick - PFF downgraded the QB on that throw tremendously. If he throws a screen pass that goes for 60 yards and a TD vs throwing a 30 yard over the shoulder drop it in the bucket pass PFF records this for what it was - an easy pass vs. a very difficult and high precision pass.

We're not arguing semantics at all. Nobody in the NFL is going around saying Matt Ryan is just a slightly above average QB. He's an upper echelon player.

Its not surprising that you think PFF grade is the best stat. Not only is it completely subjective but it happens to be the only stat that supports your narrative.

I think QB rating is the best stat here. It might be a little crude compared to PFF but its not subjective at all and 9 times out of 10 the better QB has a higher QB rating.

We are absolutely arguing semantics. If I understand correctly you seem to think Ryan is currently somewhere around the 5th-6th best QB in the league, and I think he is somewhere around the 8th best... thats not really very far from each other.

If Giants win the super bowl, would Eli be the lowest rated QB to ever win 3 super bowls?

He might be the lowest rated goofy QB to strike fear into the hearts of teams come playoffs

8 is much closer to 5 than 15.

Take the L on this one.
