Brady accounted for 1 TD pass in his entire playoff run the first superbowl.

Montana tossed 6 TDS his first superbowl run.

YPA Brady around 5.9

YPA Montana around 8.5

SMH Brady fans.

Brady accounted for 2 tds (1 passing, 1 rushing) and 1 INT, 1 Fumble. Brady also only played 2 games

Montana tossed 6 TDs with 4 INT. 2 Rushing TDs and 2 fumbles in 3 games

And let's not even account the fact that Brady played on a snow storm.

INTS have no barring in "game manager" talks.

They have a place in who played better.

Something else that goes largely unspoken. Bledsoe came in vs Pittsburghs elite defense in a playoff game with a 7-3 lead with Brady and the offense being shut down all game to that point. The 7 points were scored by special teams.

Bledsoe's first drive he leads them to a TD.

This stuff is only worth bringing up to people who judge QB by rings. Personally I don't give two shits that Brady was a game manager in 2001. Doesn't negatively impact how I think of him and certainly winning a title that year doesn't make me think of him any higher.

The simple question is this in regards to Rings.

Is Brady any less of a QB if his defense didn't stop the Seahawks in that superbowl?

Is Brady a better QB if his defense picks off a pass at the goal line effectively ending the SB?

The answer to both should be no.

If Brady was a game manager on his first Super Bowl then so was Montana as they both had similar stats in the superbowl

And the steelers were a top 5 defense, and Bledsoe didn't even out perform Brady in that game

Illogical.

If Brady throws 25 times for 175 and a touchdown and wins this superbowl, is he all of a sudden a game manager?

No.

Judging someone's role based on one game is so incredibly stupid and illogical. You're creeping towards Euro level of stupidity now.

But apparently Brady throwing it to converted QB's at WR has more help

Pay your respect to the GOAT ph@ggots

Funny how you ignore Brady had the most talented WR ever. The Pats could've won the 08 SB had Brady thrown an accurate deep ball to Moss who beat double coverage with a minute left. Brady's stats were mediocre before 07. And he also had Gronk (most talented TE of all time).

Pats also won 11 games w/o Brady, and only won 10 games when he returned. BB knows that Brady would rather have a slot receiver like Welker/Edelman rather than Moss since he doesn't have great arm strength.

You can't really use the "Brady has no weapons excuse" when he played with all time great players. And especially when your third stringer beats a playoff team. Brissett actually had a higher QB rating than Brady against the Texans

LOL so now he gets discredited for not being deadly accurate on a pass that flew 60 yards and would have been a catch had the DB not broken it up. Eli did the same thing but his man got up and made a miracle catch..

They lost to every good team with Cassel and missed POs, won the Division with Brady coming back from injury while beating some good teams and don't forget Bill going for it on 4th and 2 up 6 that lost them the game vs Colts, also Welker ACL injury..

You lost me with the Gronk argument when they have been undefeated since he went down.

Brady has improved as a player and is playing his best football right now.

They had 34 on the Texans with Brady, tell me again how many TDs Jacoby threw, also one of his picks was Floyd's fault for dropping it.

I'm sure Jacoby's 109 yards on 19 attempts was greater..

I brought up with Moss and Gronk because some Brady fans (not you) act like he has no talent and carries his offense like 01 Iverson. Pats were 2-0 w/o Brady and Gronk. I don't think Brady improved since Gronk got injured. He struggled against the Texans and Broncos.

I meant career-wise, he's better now than he was in 08-13

also has improved his accuracy on long throws.

He had Moss/gronk but only 1 title between those guys.

He didn't struggle, he was just being mauled in those games, a lot of those incompletions were him throwing the ball away to avoid a sack or a bad throw.

They had moss for like one season. And you saw what he did with that talent.
