The NFL shouldn't be in the business of determining guilt on their own. What other businesses do that? All other businesses defer to the courts...have you been a CONVICTED felon?

EVERY other business does that. You think that you wouldnt be fired tomorrow if local law enforcement told your boss that they suspected you had abused your wife multiple times in the same week and there was video evidence of you sexually assaulting some rando at a st.pattys celebration?

The vast majority of major businesses would fire an employee for doing much less than what Elliot has done.

An OJ situation could happen, but even in that rare event the public could turn their hate and complaints to the courts and NOT to Goodell/NFL.

If NFL suspensions are 100% based on civilian courts of law then an OJ situation could definitely happen

Uh...No my business would wait to see if I was guilty or not. They wouldn't conduct their own investigation

If my wife posted instagram photos of bruises and filed charges, I'd be working until found guilty

my business, and most others id imagine, would fire first and ask questions later.

Despite you claiming your innocence? They must not value you that much then.

Nanners I'm almost positive you've argued my exact stance here in another thread.

indeed i have, I argued a very similar stance during the deflategate thread.

you and jerruh jones both argued in favor of the deflategate punishments, which is a significant part of the reason why I have no problem with zekes suspension. deflategate was 100x more unfair than this zeke punishment.

Deflate stuff had to do with cheating in the actual game of football, THAT is something the NFL should investigate on their own.

no it didnt. there is literally zero evidence that the patriots ever cheated, and other teams (chiefs and vikings iirc) were both caught red handed doctoring footballs.

for the record i am a seahawks fan. i dont enjoy defending the patriots.

I'm not trying to debate their guilt or innocence. I'm saying the NFL SHOULD investigate alleged cheating in their own sport. That is different than an investigation in someone's private life, it involves the game itself.

i dont disagree

my point is that if the league is going to suspend a QB and take away picks from a team without any legitimate evidence of cheating whatsoever, then I have a hard time feeling sad for a player who is getting suspended based on evidence that seems at least semi-legitimate at best and very damning at worst.

So because you feel they've already been banning players without proof of wrong doing, you now no longer care if they continue to do that.

pretty much

if they suddenly stopped doing it now that zeke is in trouble, that would kinda be bullshit for the players/teams that were recently punished over absolutely nothing...

I see others pointing out that Raider's CB Gareon Conley just had rape charges dropped and there is no NFL investigation.

http://www.tmz.com/2017/07/31/gareon...ges-rape-case/

This is exactly what happened to Zeke...so the NFL should have their men on this right?
