The Ultimate Trojan Horse
If Dallas got nothing back for Romo whatsoever it might still be good to send Romo to Washington. Washington's difficulties figuring out what to pay Kirk Cousins to play appears to have blinded them to the fact that he is playing and will be playing for some years to come. Romo has had his last two seasons ended early and will be 37 at next season's start. Getting Washington to send off a starting-caliber QB (Cousins is that at worst) that is 8 years younger would indefinitely delay the return to relevance in Washington. Two more easy wins per year.
As they could well just end up cutting him anyway, why not? The pick(s?)s are practically an added bonus.
