Guru: "I feel as its my everyday duty as a member of the game to maintain the purity and essence of hiphop"

Guru: "The world is a deadly environment but a beautiful one in the same mention. My only weapon is my mind while my ammo is the final product. My lyrics"

On a personal level, I really cant say enough about Gang Starrs contributions within the game. Throughout the years, both Guru & Primo seperatley have trademarked themselves as hiphop legends but when you combine the two of them together you create a music masterpiece.

"Moment of Truth" <---- Forever Classic...

Moment of Truth is a classic. But no way theyre the goat.

That title belonged to ATCQ. They had more diversity. Guru has always been a little boring. He dropped gems every now and then, but on collaborations outside of the Gang Starr foundation the guest outshined him on the regular. From Scarface to Lady of Rage. I'm saying outside of the GS foundation because Melachi is retarded, Lil Dap is a Sesamestreetrapper, Big Shug is Meeeeh, Bahamadia is the Female Gurru, boring as hell etc etc. Freddie Foxx was the best one out of them and he could make a good album. Jeru wasn't all that, had nice albums, but it was mostly thanks to Primo, as evidently proven by his Heroes for Hire album, and Afu Ra is a even weaker Jeru. What's up with saying 'whirlwind through cities' and all that other crap every other verse?

No the best hiphop group of all time, it can't be denied now, is Outkast. From Southernplayalistic till their last work, they've always been two steps ahead, they have had a huge influence, theyve goten the respect they deserved, their productional work is phenomonal, both their own and that of the Dungeon Family producers. They're both skilled/great lyricist. Their whole body of work proves that they're the greatest hiphop group ever. You can take each of their albums and no other group can match up with that body of work.
