Previous quote:

"Hey but whatever makes Denver win and make the playoffs again, I think that's what counts..."

But I do think he is high in standards. I personally do not think his standards currrently rank among other top F-SG's like Dwayne, Kobe, Carter...

Clippers (among other teams) are more talented than Denver IMO.

Cassell/Livingston >>> Miller/Boykins

Mobley/Ross >>> Buckner/Johnson + whatever other deterius they got here (Voshon retired yet?)

Maggette/Thomas << Carmelo/Najera

Elton Brand >>> Nene (Kmart probably gone... but I'd still give the edge to Brand)

Kaman < Camby

I think Maggette/Thomas >> Carmelo/Najera. Close though.

The Clipps shut him down.

Denver needs that 2nd scoring option from SG position.

Melo reminds me of a bigger Reggie Miller, who can't run off of screens as well, but can create his own shot better... the clutch is there... anyone agree?

Is Denver going to lose too much of their talent to acquire Iverson though? They are going to have to move more than just Kmart, and even if they do get AI they still have a major hole at SG.

Denver is going to have a hard enough time getting into the playoffs next year, let alone getting to the WCF. They are going to have to get in based on the merit of their regular season record, because barring injuries, there is no way Utah doesn't win the Northwest division. They will fight for 8th, and they may very well lose that fight.

Denver needs to get everyone on the same page.
The battle with Utah will be one to watch. Anyone else coming out of the Northwest this season?

DENVER the most talent in the NBA? Are you serious? You know they haven't had a shooting guard for like five years, right?

Melo needs shooters. That's how the Clipps contained him, by crowding him.

Denver is a talented team, but like one said. They need to thin that talent out and get some shooters, and/or Allen Iverson. I'm not a Melo fan by any means.

The Nuggets have a nice collection of talent, who would they have to package in order to get AI? And would they have enough pieces left to make some noise in the west?

Reggie Miller can shoot threes better. As a spot up shooter, Reggie Miller was good off the ball and good with screens. They are both cluthch though...
