Yeah, he can score...nobody ever denied that. He's basically useless in every other way, though. It's not exactly hard to find guards that can score in this era. It's the one's that actually have an impact elsewhere that are the diamonds.

No surprise that a Cuckbe stan appreciates high-volume, inefficient chuckers.

Yea...he's a fine player.

Problem is that this doesn't make any sense for the Knicks, is an overpay, and he doesn't defend well.

Oh...and the Knicks already have Lee.

Lee has been trade bait for a while now. Knicks will most likely start season without Melo and Lee on the payroll.

But what does Hardaway do for the Knicks?

He just eats up cap the Knicks could use to actually start building a contender around Kristaps with.

Getting off of Lee would be nice...moving beyond Melo as well.

But the whole point should be to clear as much cap as possible moving forward and potentially getting someone to take on Noah for a year after the 2019 season.

The Knicks own all of their own picks...this contract offer makes no sense.

Knicks want to get younger. Paying $17 mil for him may be a few mil higher than he's worth, but it's a decent contract in the long run.

And clearing cap space proved to be futile for the Knicks when they signed guys like Amare and Melo. The culture isn't right in New York right now to entice big names. Get younger. Build through the draft.

It is more than a few higher million in terms of an overpay.

There really just isn't upside here on any level. You'd much rather have more cap flexibility than tie potentially 4 years of money to a guy like this.

538 has his 5 year value at like 40 million. I don't think it is much higher than that to be honest.

He'll have to really improve defensively.

It kills the cap and makes the Knicks good enough not to get a really high lottery pick, and still remain bad enough not to tank and not get the Michael Porter Jr.

I'm out, I'm done, NO MAS

Knicks are tanking in the wrong year anyway. They want to be tanking the following year to have a shot at Zion Williamson. He's the next Lebron.

Porter is a 3-point shooting big and we already have that in Porzingis.

Next LeBron?
