It is a fine contract, but I'm not sure it is fair to call it an asset.
Nobody is giving up anything of note for it.
I guess I could get behind this deal (the Tim deal) if the only plan is to pump and dump him after 1.5 years or something. Just let him take 18 shots a game and average 22 a game or something. Then some dumb team wants him in an inflated market 2 years from now when the cap goes up to 108 and teams have a lot of cap space.
Not the worst thing ever if that is the plan. Given he doesn't play any defense...might help them tank like they should this year anyway.
