Damn, City are getting the roll of the luck at the moment. But it is exactly what you need to win a title.

Blatant offside goal last night, as well as a dubious penalty to beat Arsenal.
Were getting outplayed by Liverpool, then Mane sent off.
Get way more extra time against Bournemouth and end up scoring.

Hopefully they start bottling a few of these games to make it interesting. Far better than any other team at the moment. Chelsea and Tottenham need to spend big in the winter or next summer, because United like I have already said are no hope to challenge for the title.

East Final: TFC vs Crew

West Final: Sounder vs Dynamo

Also, probably the last game of the modern NASL ever, Soccer Bowl: NY Cosmos vs San Francisco Deltas. It will likely be the last match for both teams too.

Pirlo retires.

Goodbye Maestro, I've seen very few players as good as you, in my life.

Italy is choking hard right now. They're playing very bad and creative. So stagnant offensively. worst of all they're flopping left and right against Sweden. It's very embarrassing.

Even from your perspective, I cannot think of a single match that would be more attractive to look forward to, with Sweden instead of Italy as one of the sides (except the one vs Denmark I guess), but hey, to each his own.

Bookies still have us as favourites. That's quite strange indeed. I have lost all of my trust in Ventura.

I haven't ever trusted him. He's far too stringent for my tastes

We're all over Sweeden but lack the creative finish to make these chances count.

Ballo should be in the lineup

Possibly even Gio

Ventura's rigidity could finally bite him in the ass.

Crazy how Sweden could have been awarded like three penalties in that first half from handballs. Italy never had the urgency in this match and the players didn't seem like they were too worried.

I think familiarity is the worst thing a big time NT like Italy can have. Some long time players get too comfortable, their spot isn't challenged and their play is straight out uninspiring. They don't go 100% and they don't have the same spark they have for their club team. That and the manager. Ventura obviously wasn't lighting a spark under the players ass. Someone like Insigne gets brushed aside.

I know people will say this Italian side is shit but it's not.. They have good talent (Not on the 2006 lvl team) but they still have tremendous talent. I don't think anyone, with the exception of maybe Forsberg, would make the Italian roster.

Kudos to Sweden. They looked good. They had a gameplan and they sticked to it. They were organized, well disciplined, kept their shape and most importantly they didn't choke. They look better without Ibra tbh.

I don't think the Italian team is bad. Insigne, Immobile, Belotti, Buffon, Chiellini, Veratti, Jorginho, etc, are very good players. Bonucci is probably the most overrated player on the planet right now though. The fullback play for Italy is weak too.

Ventura couldn't get a good system for these guys. Managers like him weren't destined to coach big teams.

This is a tragedy.

I never thought I would experience a World Cup without cheering for my team.
This is sad for all of our people.
The social dimension of the World Cup in Italy is very important. Its rituals, its conviviality...
Sad, just sad.

And I am quite sure that this isn't even gonna help with the future of the sport here, nothing's gonna change. Heads won't roll (except Ventura of course), there will be no revolution.

Atleast Italy has been to a World Cup. More than what many nations can say
