It's tough. You have 2 types of elite pgs

Specialized scorers that are great shooters

Curry
Kyrie
Lillard at times

Then you have pgs that are essentially do it all guys that are great scorers.

Wall
Westbrook

Really depends on wats needed.

Curry is a much better shooter and makes more intelligent plays and utilizes his team mates better (which is exactly what a point guard is suposse to do)

Westbrook is just an big explosive shooting guard playing point guard. Who plays best when ball hogging.

No other way to explain this disparity except Curry is just that much better than Westbrook

warriors are a much better defense and an all time great bench.

the warriors w/o curry beat the rockets in the playoffs last year. curry is better than westbrook though

Steph has the perfect team built around him, nice try. Westbrook needs shooters around him and he has the opposite of that

Put Westbrook on this team in place of Curry and they get better. Durant and Klay provide plenty of spacing for one team

WB gives you 24/10 every night and has the energy to focus on defense. WB is an elite defender when he focuses on that end (see the olympics)

would be the best offensive and defensive team of all-time, easily

I don't think GSW gets better, but they'd be an unstoppable playof juggernaut just like they are now, but maybe they get slighly worse in the regular season. After all, no team's ever done better than 73 wins, and GSW's definitely gotten better by adding KD.

Curry also had a ridiculous playoff run this year, and he still impacts the game with gravity like no other. With that said, I truly don't think you can put Curry in any situation and he'd be regarded as a top 5 player. Dominating in the clutch as well as the first three quarters while averaging 32/11/10 on league average efficiency despite a 42% usage rate and being on the worst-shooting team in the league with an obvious dearth in playable tertiary scoring, I think Westbrook's just proven that he'd be a top 5 player no matter what. I think he's probably become a better player this year, too, and I don't think his decline will be as steep and sharp as people imagine it will be.

and couldve been 7-0 if not for the refs. And i remember the time when durant just owned miami without westbrook then insecurebrook came back from injury against same miami team and they got owned. But but stats tho. LOL MVP

They are about equal, one is alpha but a bad chucked, another is an efficient shooter but the beta male.

Westbrook is better. I've seen enough of both. You think Curry does what Westbrook did on a mediocre team like last year's Thunder?

Imagine Curry trying to find spacing with Roberson as his wing man

They would double him and wait for him to throw a behind the back pass out of bounds

Curry is a far superior offensive player no matter who you put around him.
