I don't mind KD leaving OKC. But competitive nature wise, ALL THE GREATS in their prime would go to another team to take down the big dog! Or to win a chip. Sometimes by trade or as a free agent. KG, Pierce, and Ray formed THEIR OWN SUPERTEAM! Bron, Wade, and Bosh FORMED THEIR OWN superteam! There have been SEVERAL superteams in NBA history.

So it's not about forming a superteam. It's more about us basketball fans wanting to see KD battle GSW for Western Conference supremacy. GSW was ALREADY on an historical type of pace BEFORE KD even got there! KD was on a squad equipped to beat GSW! So its more about KD's competitive nature than forming a superteam. If KD was traded to GSW or if OKC wasn't willing to pay him right, then that's different.

When did LeBron "battle through the Eastern Conference by himself for supremacy"?

So Miami/Cleveland/Boston all can stack the deck in a shitty conference to "earn" their supremacy while KD and Westbrook are supposed to get it done by themselves against one of the greatest teams of all time and the Spurs???

So much contradiction in your philosophical mental gymnastics.

His first stint in Cleveland when he was trying to get past the Pistons then the Celtics, which prompted him to go to Miami to get past the Celtics.

When the Cavs made the Finals in 2007 they weren't' favored to get past the Pistons at all. He carried that team to the Finals strictly on his performance alone. In the end, that type of basketball doesn't win you Finals.

Yes its seeking greener pastures (for Lebron at least as he played with only scrubs 7 straight years, for Durant it would be a huge downgrade as it would be like joining Cousins/Kings or something), but there is still some humility, room for competition, leaving alot of room for him to still EARN IT any blue collar way, from the bottom....

There is a fine line between seeking greener pastures and deliberate historic ring chasing....

Durant would guaranteed got a ring last Finals if he was benched the entire Finals... the only thing he did was steal the FMVP from Curry....

Lebron would guaranteed lost a ring, Heat/Cavs would infact get swept in the Finals, Heat/Cavs would more likely actually lose early in the playoffs and/or even miss playoffs if Lebron didnt play........

Thats the difference...

Stop comparing these two moves, what Durant did is nothing like ANY player has done in NBA history infact, its the lamest move ive ever witnessed.....
Its like if prime Wilt joined Russell/Celtics in the 60s...
Its like if 80s Jordan joined Pistons/Celtics/Lakers....
Its like if Larry/Magic joined Lakers/Celtics....
Its like if Lebron joined Kobe/Lakers in 2009 or Big 4 Celtics (that cant compare imo, Warriors were far better, but its the closest thing)...

PS: Lebron would have never left a team Durant/Thunder had.... he would have won some championship(s) with Harden/Ibaka/Westbrooketc....

So...he still has a chip on his shoulder even after winning a chip. His only remedy is to take all the chips and "**** you" everyone.

I'd be scared.

This exactly. If I was a Bron stan, I'd just shut the fuc.k up at this point.

He used LeBron as a c.umrag last finals.

Next step is full blown sodomy of LeBron James on national television next finals.
