When he hit those 2 3s (1 to send it to OT and the other to win it in OT) against Portland in the last game of the 2002-03 season to give them the Pacific Division title.

When he scored 50+ in 4 straight games.

When he scored 40+ in 11 straight games.

When he drilled that 3 against Denver in game 3 of the 2009 WCF. That's when the scowl first officially appeared.

The 2010 season when he had like 7 game winners at or near the buzzer.

Kobe was masterful the entire 2008-09 playoffs. This gets overlooked. This is when he SEPARATED himself from Shaq by PROVING that he can win as "the man".

I'm sorry but I am not impressed with his last game. That game personified who he was, a guy who was primarily about him first. His 50 shots attempts is the most since they officially tracked it since 1983-84.

To me, that was somewhat disrespectful to the game of bball. Just trying to get his. You know how many shots MJ took in his last game? 15. He respected the game. Not saying Kobe didn't but MJ competed to try to win. Sometimes I get the sense that Kobe accepted defeat as long as he got his. MJ wanted to WIN.

The career-finale game is my personal favorite; and it's iconized even more by the recency effect, given that it was the ultimate exception to the harsh rule of Kobe's pitiable play that we saw for the injury-ravaged last-three years of his career.

His career effectively ended with his Achilles-tendon rupture—a virtually irrecoverable injury at that age—circa 2013, and his post-convalescence level had some of even his most zealous stans begging for him to retire before he had to end his career on an even lower note. No one expected him to end his career with the 60-point finale that he did.

I get that it's been romanticized by the sentimentality of his last game and that he took an inordinate amount of shots to do so; but beyond the FGA scrutiny and conventional semantics of impressiveness, it'll always be looked at as a picture-perfect ending to his career. He spearheaded the late-fourth-quarter comeback when they were down by 10, scoring every point in that rally and making every last one of his shots, and ultimately hit the go-ahead in the last minute for a lead that was never relinquished—an ending that you could not even believably script.

It was clear to me that Kobe only prolonged his career because he wanted to end it on his own terms, not father time's, and it was great to see that he could do so on his final game, particularly, in front of millions of viewers.

Winning his 5th title against a far better team and officially becoming the 2nd GOAT.

Definitely 81, not close.

Shame he doesn't have much to show for in his 20 years career in the playoffs.

it was also in the WCFs in the 4th quarter of a game 7 when LA was down double digits on the ropes... shaq wasnt even getting to the Finals that year without KOBE.
