10 finals in the west > 3peat >>>>> 10 finals in the east

Can't be answered unless all context is taken into account. Νοt bothering to enter stupid LeBron vs Jordan debates and make it sound as if we're talking about individual sports or as if they are in my top 2 GOAT positions, as the media wants us to do. All I know is:

10 straight finals: been done once.
3 straight titles: been done 5 times.

As for your alternative question:

10 straight 27+ ppg seasons: been done 0 times.
3 straight scoring titles: been done 8 times.

3 peating is harder.

And this post pretty much ends the thread because you can always bank on the exact opposite of what this dude says.

Does the person making the Final ever win? Does the person 3peating make the Finals any other times?

It's hard to say looking at them without context. If you make 10 straight finals but never win the championship, logic would dictate that the conference you dominate was weak. If you 3peat then never make the Finals again, then your team had a short window to win. Not a fluke, no one luck's into that level of success, but it wasn't sustainable for a long time for whatever reason. Neither of these are bad

All things equal I'd say 10 straight Finals is more difficult only because sustaining success over a decade is extremely tough. Winning 3 straight rings is greater in the short view. Basically it's the difference between peak/longevity arguments.

Though if it's which I'd rather do and which is greater legacy wise, I'd say the 3 peat.

It depends. If you have to collude with at least 5 other stars and form the most expensive teams ever just to get to the finals and lose there it is not that impressive.
