Galooly didn't do a whole lot of talking in the locker room.

Lebron for the east and I'm guessing either Curry Durant or AD for the west.

Lebron will most likely pick CP3 and Melo then look at his team.

Apparently Michael Jordan had a great deal to do with these changes.

I know they are trying to make the game better, but just because he thinks it would make things more competitive in his day doesn't mean it will make it so today.

I'm not necessarily against the changed, but the game will probably still have the same problems and criticisms it does currently.

Media is going to have a field day with this format. Teammates not picking each other or skipping over a "rival" who was best pick left, etc. There are going to be so many drama headlines and drummed up stories just from selection process I'll be surprised if any of them even cover the game itself.

NBA doing this so LeBron doesn't have to play with Kyrie.

I think it's kinda cool, something different. It's not like the All-Star game can get any worse than it already is.

This is pretty dumb.

It's gonna be the same 24 players (12 from each conference) but the teams will just be jumbled up.

Liver trying to have it both ways

Lebron has outplayed Curry in every finals they've met so that's a pretty dumb comment.

Not like LeBron didn't average like 33/12/10 on insane efficiency in last years finals either.

And he could say they had to team up to beat him ;)

Not like it will help a 170-162 score

so Banana boat for Lebron then just pick the rest of whoever is friends with him?

prolly will be the same for whoever is captain in the West. just pick who their friend is.

Nobody from the banana boat is gonna start, except Lebron himself.

He has to pick from the starters first.

The only way to "fix" the All-Star game from a competitive standpoint is by offering substantial financial incentives to the winners and nothing to the losers.

That being said this has the room to create some drama and butthurt and it'll be interesting for at least one year... puts the captains in kinda a tough spot tbh.

Well tbh LeBron is indisputably top 5 all time and so considering that it's extremely unlikely anyone else in the league will even go down as top 20 in terms of career accomplishments and legacy, who cares about anyone else?

Everyone else is a short lived flash in the pan.

James is a once in a two generations level player. Even the people that hate him know it, despite not admitting it.
