Derozan. I would seriously rather have a good 3&D guy than him.

Demar has been inefficient but that doesn't mean low impact. A lot of the chucking he does is when our trash perimeter offense stalls to a halt. He has a gotten us a ton of go-ahead and game-winning shots when no one on either team could hit a bucket to save their life. He is not low-impact in any way, shape or form.

If u get carried to 8 finals and only win 3, u are a negative to your team.

Swap Parsons and LeBron and Cavs/Heat would be a dynasty.

The problem isn't just offense. He's also an awful defender. Like you can get away with awful defense if you're A) an amazing scorer with 3PT spacing and can translate that to the playoffs like Kyrie, or B) a high level playmaker like Harden/Russ/Nash. Derozan is neither of those things. He's definitely good offensively, but his lack of gravity/spacing as a pure midrange-in scorer and lack of high IQ playmaking limits his overall offense impact. And again his defense is awful. So all in all he has the appearance of a star but honestly may not contribute more to winning than great 3&D guys.

I don't know what you're talking about. He was a huge asset for us last year. The only player that played well consistently. We would've dropped to a low seed or gotten bumped out of the playoffs in a weak conference. That's on everyone BUT him.

Yeah he's a mediocre defender, I agree there. We don't depend on him for that though. As a team we don't struggle with defense at all - it's always the offense. We did well with powell or tucker on great scorers (demarre was a huge flop).

More importantly, he has improved MASSIVELY as a playmaker and seemingly makes the right pass every single time. His shooters were getting WIDE OPEN shots all playoffs. I kid you not. I'm pretty sure that's the reason we traded patterson, a player all raps fans love. Just can't be missing all of those wide open shots.

I watched every game that series in 2014. Joe Johnson was just on fire and it was mostly t-ross that got smoked if I remember correctly. I don't think we had a single good perimeter defender that season which hasn't been the case the seasons since.
