Default Kevin Love is the odd man out on the Cavs

Cavs basically have all the parts except a Center

They already have Crowder who can provide spacing at the 4

They have scorers in LeBron, Wade, Isaiah, Rose

TT is the rebounder

They don’t have a rim protector, and Love may be the worst defensive 5 in the league.

Cavs just don’t have a need for Love’s skills, while there’s nothing Love brings that’s valuable to the Cavs.

Cavs should’ve traded him at the Draft.

Trade LeBron for a good center and wing, then focus the offense around Love (if they want a chance to beat the W's).

LeBron for Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay. Who says no?
LeBron for Gobert and Ingles?

your threads are shit, so I'll treat them like shit

Kevin Love FG%

2016 Playoffs: 38%

2017 Playoffs: 40%

2016 Finals: 36%

2017 Finals: 36.5%

You really want the offense built around him?

FG% is going to be low when all you're doing is spacing the floor and shooting bail-out shots. His high% shots come from shots INSIDE the arc. You don't get those if you're turned into a spot up shooter by Bron-ball

Then why is his at-rim FG% one of the lowest out of all big men?

5'9 Isaiah has a higher FG% in the paint than Love

He gets a ton of fouls at the rim. Those are shots that would otherwise go in, but don't contribute to his FG%. His efficiency on post ups and at the rim is excellent when you factor in his free throws and high free throw %

Didn't they try to trade him? No one wants him.

How is that when you just said that all he does is space the floor and shoots bail-out shots??

I guess I wasn't clear. When he does take shots at the rim (which simon was talking about when he mentioned FG% in the paint) he has a high RATE of drawing fouls. He is more likely to draw a foul in the paint than most big men. These don't contribute to your FG%, but they still earn points. See what I'm saying?

Trade LeBron while he still has value. Maybe they can get Randle, Kuzma, and a future 1st rounder from the Lakers?

Love shoots 45% of his attempts from 3 point range. 50% in the palyoffs last year. It is impossible to have a high fg% when so many of your shots are 3's. They do not run plays to get him good looks inside the arc. We have seen how effective he can be when they do.

Kevin Love is an all-star level player who is not being utilized to the fullest. No one can deny this. If he had an offense built around him, he goes back to 25ppg and All-NBA status.

I think what's funny is that Lebron is more of a 4 than Crowder is.

In today's NBA, past 3's that are older have now moved to 4. Lebron is bigger physically than Crowder, Melo, etc.

You have a 6'8 250-260 pound man that can switch 3-4 effortlessly.

Kevin Love as a 5 works except on teams where they have a scoring big in the post. Only 5 teams have that so Cleveland is good for now.

PS... I think what Cleveland does with that NJ pick determines what happens. If they are looking to trade the pick than I see Bron staying. If they keep it, I'd see them expecting him to leave.
