The UCONN women took on Hartford tonight....it wasn't close. I listened to the game over the internet and I must have been hearing things.....UCONN gave up only 7 pts in the 2nd half. 7 pts!!!! Final score
Maya Moore and Tina Charles are becoming a nice combo.
Man!! There are only two teams that I hate losing to. Duke is the first one and the other one is the team we played tonight....Notre Dame. I can't stand that team!! But they beat us and now we have to just get ready for the next Big East game. Good win, Notre Dame.
OMG!! The UConn women program looked great yesterday. In that win against Purdue, the UConn women won by 50 pts!! We had 5 players in double figures. Tina Charles and Maya Moore are becoming a feared dynamic duo in the paint.
No wonder Tennessee did not want to play us this year. That is ok. I hope that we meet up in the NCAA tourney.
McAlarney from Notre Dame killed us with threes the other night, though UCONN made a great comeback and almost won. Thabeet destroyed Harangardy's or whatever his name is confidence...I've never seen anything like it...He blocked his shot 8 times.
Tonight we have St. Johns. I'm hoping for a strong victory.
The UConn women bring home another victory. In a game against West Va, the awesome twosome of Maya Moore and Tina Charles again dominate the game. Maya finishes with 25 pts and Tina chips in another double double; 18pts and 14 rebs. My girl, Melly Mel Thomas threw in 14 pts.
What is so neat about our team this year is, everyone is dealing with their roles and we are playing kick butt defense.
Wow. What a game against those Hoyas!! Man, we kept it close and even gave the Hoyas a little scare. Who would have thought that a 3 pointer by Roy Hibbert would end the game? Oh well, I can leave with a loss like that. I am just glad that we gave the Hoyas a little run.
Also, glad that Coach C (Calhoun) is doing well and is back home. It felt strange not seeing him on the sidelines yesterday. But gald that everything is cool and he is doing well.
Coach Belaney did a wonderful job, in Coach C's absences.
The UConn women's team beat down a very tough Syracuse team. This was a battle. We were down by 9 pts, but got a rally on to pull out the W. Great job, UConn!! We can't blow teams out all the time. But at least we know how to gut out a tough game like this.
